Farming - feed hygiene registration

The Feed (Hygiene & Enforcement)(England) Regulations 2005 require registration with the local authority of all businesses that make, use or market animal feeds (including farms but excluding pet food retailers). Similar legislation applies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Businesses already registered with other official schemes such as the Rural Payments Agency, CAP Reform or Food Hygiene do not need to make a new registration under this legislation. Within local authorities, Trading Standards are responsible for this function.
