Changes to household waste collections

From mid-September 2017, weekly collections of the green-lidded bin will stop.

We will empty your green-lidded bin one week, and your blue-lidded and brown-lidded bins the next.

We will extend the brown-lidded bin collections to all year round.

As part of the new service, you will be able to recycle your food waste in both your brown-lidded or green-lidded bin. This will enable you to continue to dispose of your food waste on a weekly basis.

If your food waste caddy has gone missing please visit your local library to collect one. View library opening times if you are unable to get to a library please  complete the below form and we will look to redeliver a calendar as soon as possible.

Caddies can be kept in your kitchen to collect all of your food waste - cooked and uncooked. When full the waste can then be put in your brown-lidded or green-lidded bin.

Before the changes start you will receive your caddy, a new waste calendar and a roll of compostable liners along with more advice and information on the new service.
