The Office for Low Emission Vehicles currently has incentives available to promote and increase the uptake of electric vehicles. This includes the Plug-In Vehicle grant, Workplace Charging scheme and the Electric Vehicle Homecharge scheme.
Currently home charge points are not available for those with on-street parking in Coventry, but cars can be charged at public charge points.
Off-street parking at home is ideal for electric vehicle owners. If you are thinking about installing a charge point at your home, supplier information can be found on the Office for Low Emission Vehicles website.
Electric car owners can park at the electric charging bays allocated around Coventry city centre and Memorial Park and Ride.
Coventry City Council is currently upgrading the charge point infrastructure. The new charge points will be fast chargers and one rapid charger operated by Charge Point Services using the Genie Platform. This will require registering with the GeniePoint. Network – Register to use the GeniePoint Network.
