'Anne Frank and You'
Coventry Cathedral
5th - 29th January
Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm, Saturday 9.00am - 3.45pm, Sunday
12.30pm - 3.45pm. Last admission 30 minutes before closing.
This nationally acclaimed exhibition guides visitors through
the world of Anne Frank and connects subjects from her diary to themes that are still topical today such as hate, conflict,
freedom, care for others and identity.
Besides information about the Holocaust, the exhibition shows film images of
genocides and crimes against humanity that took place after 1945. After viewing an impression of Anne Frank’s life, visitors
enter the heart of the exhibition – a reconstruction of Anne’s room in the secret annex.
The exhibition includes:
- The Anne Frank photo album featuring poignant photos of Anne and her sister Margot
- Replica artefacts from Anne’s life and the Holocaust
- The chilling 'genocide tunnel'
- A near-life-size replica of Anne’s bedroom in the Secret Annexe
- An interactive virtual tour of the Secret Annexe in Amsterdam, where the Frank family hid for over two years
- Powerful graphic imagery of the social issues affecting us in today’s Britain, encouraging us to consider the similarities between the hopes, dreams and fears of Anne Frank and today's young people.
