Section 5.4 - Daventry Road - Queen Isabel's Avenue to London Road
The Willenhall corridor between the Ring Road and the A45 runs through Cheylesmore and along Daventry Road. PrimeLines have upgraded bus priority along this route and improved pedestrian facilities.
What was there before PrimeLines?
Daventry Road forms part of major suburban traffic route around the South of the city. Parked vehicles plague the existing grass verges and can create an obstruction to buses, making journeys less reliable.
The existing bus stops along this section are located close to junctions and are designed for old style rear-loading buses.
What have PrimeLines changed?
As part of the Whitley Island scheme two bus stops at the end of Daventry Road have been upgraded to PrimeLines and DDA standard with shelters.
The remainder of the scheme is still at design stage and we hope to start works during the coming months.

Please note: If you have an issue you'd like to report on one of these shelters, please contact Centro. It would greatly assist Centro if you had the bus stop code ready. You can find this code on the side of the flag which displays the service numbers that stop at the bus stop. Officers at Centro may not understand what you mean if you provide them with the PrimeLines code. These codes are useful when contacting the PrimeLines team.
