Public paths user survey
Almost everyone will use public paths at some point in their life - whether to go shopping, visit parks or to access their local countryside. We are fortunate to have inherited a unique resource that has evolved over hundreds of years, and which enables us to do so. Coventry City Council have been gradually improving the path network over a number of years and it is now looking beyond its statutory duties to harness the positive benefits that walking, cycling and riding can bring to our lives.
Survey on the use of public footpaths
The Council has undertaken a survey on the use of public paths within Coventry; how they can be improved or why people don’t use them. We have analysed the results of the survey and have developed the draft Right of Way Improvement Plan.
Draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan
The draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan looks at how access to the countryside for the public could be improved and how rights of way can improve routes for local journeys to work, to the shops, railway stations, doctor’s surgeries and other local amenities.
