September 11 to September 12 - Heritage Open Days
Be sure to drop-in at St. Mary's Guildhall during this weekend of fun and celebration for Coventry's built heritage. Free attractions for the weekend include medieval musicians, a 'Past in Pictures' display and an exhibition of the grislier items from the Coventry Police Museum, including the death mask of the last woman to be hanged in Coventry. Guides will be on hand to share fascinating facts and stories, and Godiva's in the Undercroft will be open for snacks and refreshments. There will also be a rare opportunity to see the Council House civic chambers and the Coventry Freeman's Guild Room.
October 8 - Paranormal Investigation with 'Haunted Happenings'
Spend a chilling night discovering the supernatural entities that are reputed to walk the Guildhall's rooms and corridors, under the guidance and protection of professional paranormal investigators. For more details and booking information, see the Haunted Happenings website.
December - Festive Feasts at the Guildhall
