Coventry City Council wishes to appoint an organisation to undertake the role of "Host" to a Local Involvement Network (LINk) covering geographic Council boundaries, as directed in the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. The Host organisation will be responsible for the establishment, maintenance and support of a LINk. The role of the LINk is primarily to obtain the views of the community about their needs for and experiences of using local care services (both in Health and Social Care). The main role of the Host is to recruit members to the LINk and once established, to suppport to ongoing day-to-day activities of the LINk. Coventry City Council is tendering for the provision of External Litter Bins to be situated around communal and public places in Coventry. The tender is to supply three bin types; these are Floor Mounted, Wall/Post Mounted and Dog Waste bins. A fourth bin type, Cigarette bins, will also be investigated. Supply shall be for 2 years with options to extend for up to a further 2 years. In this time, the Council expects to have required in the region of 700 bins. The Council hopes to split supply by bin type with a maximum of 3 successful suppliers. The contract is to be used by the Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance team.
