External funding helpdesk

The Corporate External Funding Team operates a helpdesk service, that is open to all council departments, statutory agencies, voluntary and community groups throughout the city. We provide information, advice, guidance, support and sign-posting, on external funding. We provide this information using newsletters, briefing notes, bulletins and funding options reports.

How does the service work?

All you need to do is complete the simple enquiry form below, with details of your project and send it to the Helpdesk Team.

We will log your enquiry and search the funding database for possible funding options for your specific project. The database includes European, Central Government, National Lottery, local grants and trusts and foundations.

Within seven working days you will receive your Funding Options Report, including contact details and application forms when appropriate, together with further advice and guidance.

Please send your completed enquiry form to us at the address below, or contact us for further information about external funding.

GRANTnet – database of funding opportunities

GRANTnet, is a user friendly database which has been specifically devised to allow organisations in Coventry to conduct their own online grants search. If you want to carry out a funding search click on the 'GRANTnet' button above. The service is easy to use, free of charge and provides information on over 4,000 funding opportunities. To register with GRANTnet and the External Funding Helpdesk, you should complete the 'New users' section once you have double clicked the 'GRANTnet' button above and accessed the registration page. A password will be emailed to you shortly after you have submitted your registration details, which will allow you access to GRANTnet home page. Once you have logged-in using your password, you will need to provide answers to seven questions (steps), about your organisation and the project for which you seek funds. The first time you conduct a search you may find it useful to go to the 'Help' section and print out the notes for future reference

Once you have submitted your search, GRANTnet will respond with a quick overview of the schemes that could apply to your project.

The External Funding Team may be able to help you follow up your GRANTnet search. Details of your search results will be automatically emailed to the Funding Helpdesk, who may contact you to see if you require any further assistance with your search.
