Funding Helpdesk
The External Funding Team runs a helpdesk service, which is available to community and voluntary groups in the city, as well as other council departments and statutory bodies.
The Helpdesk Team can:
- Suggest possible sources of funding for your project
- Provide a free 'health-checking' service for funding applications
- Tell you about other helper agencies that can support the work of your organisation, including funding applications.
- Send you regular bulletins and newflashes so that you hear about the newest funding opportunities.
The Helpdesk Team cannot:
- Make a grant to your organisation.
- Write your application for you, although we are happy to support you in this process.
- Provide support to individuals or profit-making businesses.
On these pages you can download our enquiry form so that you can find out what the best funding options are for your project, and read our latest funding bulletins. We have also answers to frequently asked questions, and information about making applications, and the other groups in the city who can support you. Please use the links on the left hand side to find out more.

GRANTnet
GRANTnet is a user friendly database which has been specifically designed to allow organisations in Coventry to conduct their own online grants search. If you want to carry out a funding search click on the 'GRANTnet' button above. The service is easy to use, free of charge and provides information on over 4,000 funding opportunities.
Once you reach the GRANTnet homepage, please follow the 'New to GRANTnet' link, and enter your details. A password will be emailed to you shortly after you have submitted your registration details, which will allow you access to GRANTnet home page.
Once you have logged-in using your password, you will need to provide answers to seven questions about your organisation and the project for which you seek funds. The first time you conduct a search you may find it useful to visit the 'Help' section of the GRANTnet site.
Once you have submitted your search, GRANTnet will respond with a quick
overview of the schemes that could apply to your project.
The External Funding Team may be able to help you follow
up your GRANTnet search. Details of your search results will be automatically emailed to the Funding Helpdesk, who may contact
you to see if you require any further assistance with your search.
