Working in partnership

Coventry has a history of successful partnership working bringing local people and organisations together to tackle and solve local problems and develop new opportunities. Coventry partnerships – some large some small - have developed to address a range of issues such as developing the local economy, health, housing, training, crime, cultural activities, the promotion of the city, neighbourhood renewal and tackling racism.

The Coventry Partnership

The Coventry Partnership is Coventry's Local Strategic Partnership and developed out of the City Forum. It brings together people from organisations across the city. It includes representatives from the voluntary sector, communities and business, the leaders of the public services in the city and elected councillors. They work together to improve the quality of life for Coventry and the people who live here.

The Cultural Partnership

Coventry's Cultural Partnership exists to provide a broad range of cultural and leisure services and support the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the city.

For more information visit the Cultural Partnership's website.

Coventry Community Safety Partnership

Local Community Safety Partnerships are an alliance of organisations required by statute to generate strategies and policies and implement actions and interventions concerning crime, disorder and substance misuse within their area.  The Coventry Community Safety Partnership (CCSP) is committed to making Coventry a safe place in which to live, work and visit. It is our role to strategically plan, commission and oversee services that tackle crime and disorder and address drug and alcohol misuse.

Coventry Empowerment Network (CEN)

Coventry's Community Empowerment Network is a network of 200 community groups in Coventry. CEN provides a way to enable community voices to be heard by the people and organisations who make the decisions that affect everyone's lives. We hold regular meetings around the city to help groups engage in local decision making.

The Coventry Community Plan

Coventry was one of the first places in the country to develop its own Community Plan – a plan developed by the city for the city that sets out our shared priorities and targets for Coventry.

The Coventry Partnership has taken on responsibility to deliver the priorities and targets of the Coventry Community Plan, which runs from 2003-2010. This plan aims to improve the economic, social and environmental well being of Coventry and the people who live here.
