GCSE Courses

Do you need a GCSE to help you move on? Are you interested in exploring or updating your skills? Consider the GCSE courses we are offering in English and maths.

The English GCSE course includes creative writing, media, Shakespeare, novel reading and poetry, with a mixture of coursework and two exams in the summer making up the final mark.  For those who live and work in the Holbrooks area there may be the opportunity to take the course free of charge at President Kennedy School and Community College.

The maths GCSE course covers five modules, two of which are coursework based and three of which are exam based.  Areas covered on the course include number and money management; handling data; shape and measurement; and algebra.  The benefit of this style of GCSE is that it allows you to build your skills throughout the year.

Before the course starts, check if this is the right course for you.  We provide assessments and advice and guidance sessions at the beginning of the courses.
