Holistic therapy courses - Indian Head Massage and Reflexology are short courses to give you insight into the subject, and practical skills to benefit you, family and friends.  Centres usually offer one course per term.

Hair care and threading shows how to plait hair and shape eyebrows.

Mehndi introduces hand-painting and body patterns and the techniques of mixing and applying henna.

Bridge classes are for complete beginners and improvers and will introduce you to this challenging game you can't really learn on your own.  With the help of the excellent English Bridge Union scheme you will build your play and use the conventions of the game to communicate and compete with your partners.

Royal Yachting Association (RYA) courses take place during the evenings of the autumn and spring terms to get you ready for sailing after Easter.  Dayskipper introduces you to all the things you need to know to sail on rivers and coasts. Yachtmaster gives skills to enable you to go further from the shore.  These courses lead to qualifications which you register and pay for separately with the RYA.

Beginners' Family History courses start you off appreciating the range of records you can use from paper records to records accessed using the internet, and help you to work out how to best start your family tree.  Workshop courses are for people who are working on their projects with support, resources and time to solve research problems, and help to organise and present the information.  Come along and find out about your ancestors' lives.  For those who live in the Holbrooks area, the Family History course at President Kennedy School and Community College is free of charge.

History of Coventry - whether you have lived in Coventry for years or are new to the city there will be lots of interest in this course.  Learn about a selection of events such as invasions of Coventry, the industries of Coventry and much more.

Cookery courses - learn to create traditional and tantalising dishes from around the world, including Indian, Chinese and creative cookery.  Impress your friends with your culinary skills, say goodbye to ordering take-aways and learn how to create your own dishes.

Creative Writing aims to unlock that potential writer inside you.  Each session focuses on different  styles, genres and techniques you can use in your writing.  Examples from a broad range of literature past and present will provide an overview of the development of modern writing.  Topics include: Does poetry have to rhyme? How do you plan a story and humour in stories and poetry?
