The Performing Arts Service

Coventry Performing Arts Service is the major provider of performing arts activities in Coventry. Teachers and artists work in schools and the community to provide a range of high quality learning and performance opportunities through music, dance and drama. We strive to help schools raise standards and provide a challenging, rich and balanced curriculum.

Who are we?

PAS is a non-profit organisation, managed under Services for Schools as part of the Children, Learning and Young People’s Directorate of Coventry City Council. With over 125 staff, we seek to provide quality in all aspects of our operations. Our Business Support Team provides efficient and effective support for staff and for our school and community customers.

We are proud of our partnerships with other groups in the city including the City of Coventry Corps of Drums, Highly Sprung Performance Company, The Nightingales and the City of Coventry Youth Orchestra.

We aim to provide provision for a broad range of artistic styles at all levels, to reflect the needs of a modern cosmopolitan city that values its history.

“I hope that our support and activities will encourage and enable schools and parents to understand and value the positive impact of cultural and creative activity on our young people.” Owen Dutton, Head of Service

Bringing the arts to the heart of the
                  city.
