Environmental Advice for Businesses

As a consultancy arm of Coventry City Council's Sustainability Services section, we provide expert environmental management advice and assistance to companies throughout the West Midlands and beyond.

What is effective environmental management?

Effective environmental management minimises the impact that an organisation has on the environment and can result in cost savings for the company, an improved reputation and an increase in business. Sooner or later an Environmental Management System will be expected of all companies – those who get one sooner will reap the benefits others will miss.

What do we offer?

Our experienced consultants can provide company specific advice and we ourselves are accredited to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. We provide various services to companies to establish or improve an environmental management system including:

Initial environmental reviews to assess performance and identify immediate cost savings and improve resource efficiency
A well-proven 10-step approach to achieving ISO 14001 (the internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems)
Company specific registers of environmental legislation, including a quarterly update service
Legal compliance audits to confirm that relevant legislation is being adhered to
Environmental auditor training – and second party auditing
Accredited environmental awareness training for employees
DTI Benchmark Reviews
Individually tailored consultancy on company-specific issues
Information and assistance on new technology and sustainability

Are you an SME?

We may be able to offer you grant funded environmental assistance!

We work in partnership with the West Midlands Technology Network (WMTN) and can offer free environmental consultancy services to eligible SMEs. Please see our WMTN web page for further details and eligibility criteria.

We also work in partnership with Business Sustain who provide environmental consultancy services to eligible companies within the automotive sector. Please see the Business Sustain website for more details.
