Graffiti

Graffiti is an illegal, anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people's fear of crime.


Street Services (part of the City Services directorate) deal with requests for graffiti removal from highways and council owned property.

If the graffiti is on private property there will be a charge and the request must be made in writing with a disclaimer about any possible damage that may occur.

We require the exact location of the problem and will endeavour to remove the graffiti if offensive within 24 hours.
