Coventry Homefinder

Is the scheme which allocates housing in Coventry. The site, www.coventryhomefinder.com, has details of all of the properties available this week and online application forms. Coventry City Council's housing options service operate the scheme.

Mortgage Arrears

People who have fallen into mortgage arrears may be able to get help from the Council under the Government's national Mortgage Rescue Scheme. For more information about mortgage arrears download the Worried about your Mortgage? booklet.

Coventry Accredited Property Scheme

This is a voluntary scheme for private rented properties, providing a set standard for the property and the management of the property. The section contains details of the benefits of membership, standards, newsletters and the landlords forum.

Home Energy Efficiency

This section is still being developed. will cover the health and economic aspects of home energy efficiency and heating, hints and tips to help you save energy in your home and your eligibility for different grants, equity release or charitable assistance.

Homelessness

This section details what we do to help homeless people. As well as explaining the Homelessness law it details prevention services has a directory of services for homeless people in the city.

Housing Benefits

This extensive section provides advice and guidance on the range of services provided by the Housing Benefits Section.

Housing Grants and Loans

The Housing Grants and Loans section have details of the Disabled Facilities Grant and Equity Release schemes available in Coventry. In addition there is advice about carrying out repairs to your home.

Private Housing

Here we provide information about services and guidance on rights and responsibilities for landlords and tenants. The section also contains information about dealing with Empty Homes and the Coventry Landlords' Forum.

Policy and Performance

The Policy and Performance Section provides information on the strategies, priorities and plans from within the Housing Policy and Services Department at the City Council. It also gives details of our performance and the levels of service you can expect from the department.

Sheltered and Supported Housing

This section contains information about supported housing ranging from domestic violence refuges to sheltered housing for elderly people. It includes the Supporting people Directory and information about the Supporting People Programme in Coventry.
