Client Support Unit

The Client Support Unit provides free training and support to help unemployed people back to work.  These programmes are innovative and powerful, delivering aspects of personal development and practical support to ensure that clients break down their barriers and move forward into employment.

Current Programmes

The two latest programmes offered by the Client Support Unit are funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and will run until March 2008:  Working Futures and Making Progress.

Working Futures

Working Futures offers specialist support to people recovering from mental health issues, chronic ill health or with learning disabilities.  Each client has a 'Maze Worker' who will help them to navigate the services available to them, such as training, advice and support such as help with job applications.

Making Progress

Making Progress helps ex-offenders, including those that have served a custodial sentence and those that are on a community order to find employment.   These clients receive support with housing, financial and emotional issues.

Extra Support

We host Job Search on Thursdays, at which clients meet up for regular job hunting with the benefit of having help on hand.

History of Success

The Healthy Horizons programme, which ran until March 2007, helped over 220 people from Coventry, Nuneaton and Rugby to overcome health issues to increase their confidence, motivation and skills.

Fusion, which also ran until March 2007, was another programme for people with ill-health, in which working with the Belgrade Theatre allowed us to incorporate the arts to enhance the learning process.  Fusion clients were treated to drama exercises, visual arts and camera work.
