Coventry Peace Month
Since the Second World War the people and the city of Coventry have been internationally known for working to promote peace and reconciliation.
Coventry as a city of peace
Over the years Coventry's reputation as a city of peace has resulted in many of the city's twinning arrangements with cities such as Belgrade, Dresden, Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad), Warsaw and Sarajevo and seen the development of the associated peace-based activities in the city including the Centre for the Study of Forgiveness and Reconciliation at Coventry University and the work of Coventry Cathedral.
