Calling all activity providers - Get listed!

Is your organisation delivering sports or leisure activities in Coventry? Does your organisation want FREE publicity to recruit more members and get more people involved? Want a quick and easy way of updating your organisation's information? Coventry Active is the answer!

What's the catch?

There isn't one - this is a FREE project which gives you the chance to put your details onto a database that can be accessed by people looking to do some form of activity. We can also use the information to promote your organisation to others and keep you updated of current developments.

How do we get involved?

One option is to pop along to a free session to see how Coventry Active works and discover the long-term benefits of being involved. It will also give you the opportunity to meet other providers.

Can I access Coventry Active now?

The simple answer is yes. Follow the instructions below to register your details.

Coventry Active can be accessed by anyone, at anytime. Follow the link to "Search Coventry Active" in the left-hand navigation, or set a bookmark to: www.coventry.gov.uk/coventryactive.

How can I register my activities?

You can set up an account by registering as an activity provider:

• From the Coventry Active homepage go to 'Provider registration'.
• Follow the instructions to create a provider account and to setup your login details, save the information and then continue to register your activities/sessions.
• For each activity, enter all the information on the form and at the bottom add the times that the activity is offered. Once all times have been registered, click on 'Save timings' and then 'Save' the activity using the button at the bottom of the page.
• If there are changes to activities/sessions or you wish to edit your page, sign back into the site and click onto "update my details".

Notes for activity providers:

• All provider registrations and activities added to Coventry Active will be approved by an administrator before they will appear on the live database.
• Coventry Active is designed to provide information about activities that happen at regular times (e.g. weekly sessions), not one-off events. A start and end time must be provided, otherwise you will be unable to save the information.
• Remember that the information you add will be the information that the public will see, so make sure it is correct and will encourage people to participate.
• Do not type in all capitals when registering or adding activities - typing in all capitals makes your information difficult for users to read.
• You will be alerted via e-mail once the database has gone live to the public. It is therefore important that information is kept up-to-date and periodically checked.
