Access:

Level acess, automatic doors, lift to main library and upper level. All public areas are wheelchair accessible.

Please note places are offered on a first come first served basis.

Library Lifts

The lifts in the entrance to the building are being replaced, one at a time from 30 June.

Local Studies Service

The service has now closed, the new History Centre will be offering a limited sevice from 1 September 2008. For more information visit our History Centre page.

  • Books for loan free of charge
  • A children's library with a collection of books to help with homework
  • Story times every Saturday at 11.00am to 12.00noon (not from 26 July to 30 August)
  • A wide variety of music on CD and tape for loan for a small charge
  • Talking Books free to visually impaired people, under 16s 
  • DVDs for loan for a small charge
  • Books in Bengali, Chinese, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Italian, Polish, Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Vietnamese
  • Language sets for learning a second language
  • Book request service
  • A local history collection on Coventry and Warwickshire
  • Free access to 50 bookable computers with office software and internet access
  • Information on computers courses 
  • Musical Talks, Readers groups and other events
  • Readers Group on the last Thursday of each month at 2.30 to 4.00pm
  • ALAP/OLAKUA group meets on the last Wednesday of each month at 6.30 to 7.30 pm
  • Braille Courses for details
  • Family Information Service
  • Fax machine (small charge)
  • Photocopier (small charge)
  • Housebound reader service
  • Newspapers and magazines in English, Bengali, Chinese, Gujurati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu
