Physical and Sensory Impairment Partnership Meetings

The Physical and Sensory Impairment Partnership holds regular meetings - many of which are open to the public.

Combined Reference Group

There is a combined reference group that meets monthly (see dates below) and includes people from the following groups:

• Individual service users with physical and/or sensory impairments.
• Black, minority, ethnic services users with physical and/or sensory impairments.
• Carers of individuals with physical and/or sensory impairments.
• Community and voluntary organisations involved with individuals with physical and/or sensory impairments.

What does the Combined Reference Group do?

The combined reference group discusses issues which they consider to be a priority. These discussions have included topics such as access to information, equalities, housing and transport. The reference group has elected eight representatives who take the group's views forward, with support, to the Physical and Sensory Impairment Partnership Board.

Physical and Sensory Impairment Partnership Board

This Partnership board meets every two months (see dates below). At these meetings they get together with representatives from other partnership agencies in order to inform, plan and develop services for people with physical and/or sensory impairments.

Membership of the Physical and Sensory Impairment Partnership Board

• Two representatives from Coventry City Council's Community Services Department.
• Two representatives from the training Primary Care Trust.
• Two representatives from the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire.
• Two housing representatives.
• Two representatives from individual service users with physical and/or sensory impairments (aged 18 to 64).
• Two representatives from black,minority, ethnic services users with physical and/or sensory impairments (aged 18 to 64).
• Two representatives from carers of individuals aged 18 to 64 who have physical and/or sensory impairments.
• Two representatives from community and voluntary organisations involved with individuals aged 18 to 64 who have physical and/or sensory impairments.
