Young Parents in Coventry

There are a lot of different services that run across Coventry to provide help and support for young parents. Services include; young parent advisors, young parents groups and funding for childcare if you are looking to get back into education. There are also websites that you can visit to gain further information on being a parent and advice on housing and benefits among other things.


Young Parent Advisors

There are two Young Parent Advisors in Coventry who work through Connexions to support young parents across the city. They can offer help and advice with housing, benefits, childcare and will support you if you want to get back into education, employment or training.

Young Parent Groups

There are a number of young parents groups that run across Coventry. The groups give you the chance to mix with other young parents.

Some of the groups offer an informal drop-in session where you can chat with other young parents over coffee and others provide a chance to talk to a midwife or health visitor.

There is a Young Parent Drop-In service available at the One Stop Shop (Greyfriars Lane) on Tuesdays 1.00pm – 5.00pm where you can drop in and talk to a personal advisor.

The times and locations of the groups are subject to change so please call to confirm services are available before you go.

POWER - Coventry's Young Parents Forum

 The Young Parents' Forum meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Zone Housing, Momus Boulevard between 10.00am and 12.30pm. There are refreshments and lots of toys for your children to play with. Young Dads are welcome.

The Young Parents' Forum was set up by the Democracy Project and Connexions to give the young parents of Coventry a voice and let them make an impact on the way young parents are perceived.
