Disabled parking bays
Information about the location of disabled parking bays in the city centre, and how Coventry residents can apply for a disabled parking bay.
Location of disabled parking bays in City Centre
CVOne are responsible for car parking in Coventry city centre. Please follow the link to their website for a map of city centre car parks - disabled parking bays are marked on the map. For more information about City Centre parking call CVone on: 024 7683 3636 (24 hours).
Applying for a disabled parking bay
It is possible to designate a parking bay on the highway outside the home of a disabled person, but the person must have a vehicle which displays a blue badge.
This bay can be used by any vehicle that displays a blue badge and would not be for the exclusive use of the owners of the property adjacent to the marked space.
Coventry City Council only consider requests where the home has no off-street parking and where on-street parking is known to be substantial. Before considering any request we would need to consult with your GP to find out the full extent of your disability, in particular whether you can walk more than 50 metres unaided.
Please complete the application form at the foot of this page to enable your request to be assessed, and return it with a copy of the DVLA Registration Document (V5).
We receive many requests for parking bays and due to the volume of requests the application process is quite lengthy. As part of the application process we will make a site visit to assess, in road safety terms, whether the provision of a bay is practical.
Disabled parking permit (Blue Badge)
Blue parking badges allow cars carrying people who are registered blind or people who have severe walking difficulties to be parked near shops, stations and other facilities. Please see our page about the blue badge scheme for more information.
