Highways Act 1980 S31A Public Register

Since 1932 landowners have been able to prevent rights of way being created over their land by providing their local highways authority with a written declaration of accepted rights of way that are 'renewed' every 10 years.

Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, we are required to make these documents available on a public register.
