Sustainable Transport Policy
Coventry City Council is required to create documents and policies each year describing their plans and what is needed to fund them.
Coventry Transport Programme
The Policy and Sustainable Transport Team is responsible for the production of the Coventry Transport Programme each year. This details the projects and schemes funded through the Coventry allocation from the West Midlands Local Transport Plan. It also summarises the outputs from the previous year's spend. To find out more on the Coventry Transport Programme, visit the Coventry Transport Programme page.
West Midlands Local Transport Plan
Each year Coventry City Council is awarded capital funding through the West Midlands Local Transport Plan. This funding is used to deliver schemes across the city. For further information visit the West Midlands Local Transport Plan website.
Supplementary Planning Guidance
Each new scheme is required to follow planning requirements and the Supplementary Planning Guidance gives information and advice on meeting these requirements and how to set up planning applications. To find out more, visit the Supplementary Planning Guidance section.
Walking and Cycling Strategy
It is compulsory for every local authority to create a Walking and Cycling Strategy for their region. It has to meet Government requirements and has to be followed when implementing new schemes. Contact the Policy and Sustainable Transport Team Leader to find out more about Coventry City Council's Walking and Cycling Strategy.
