TravelWise and Events

Coventry City Council is part of ACT TravelWise. ACT TravelWise is a group of local authorities, universities, hospitals and businesses who work together to develop transport choice and encourage people to use sustainable transport where possible. 

About ACT Travelwise

ACT Travelwise was formed when the Association of Commuter Transport and the National TravelWise Association merged in November 2007. In the West Midlands, local authorities work together to run a programme of events to promote the alternatives to single occupancy car use. For further information on ACT TravelWise go to http://www.acttravelwise.org/home.

Forthcoming events

During the year we have various campaigns in which individuals and companies can get involved.  These are both stand alone events and events which link into national campaigns such as Walk to School Week, Bike Week and TravelWise Week.  Activities for 2008 are currently being planned and this page will be updated as soon as they have been confirmed.  If you would like to be involved in any activity or you have an idea for an event to promote sustainable transport, please get in touch with the contact below.
