Council Tax 2008-09 Charge

Coventry Council sets the amount of Council Tax you pay. The amount set depends on how much the council and certain other public bodies (eg: police, fire) in the local authority area spend and how much money they get from elsewhere. The amount charged (before any reductions) also depends on which valuation band each property is in.

How much will Council Tax cost in 2008/9?

The Valuation Office Agency allocates each property to one of eight bands according to its open market capital value at 1st April 1991. If you have a query regarding the band value of a property please contact The Valuation Office Agency on  0845 602 1507.

Not sure which band your property is in?

Go to www.voa.gov.uk to find out which band your property falls into. (Other information about your area will be returned in your search results.)
