Create your own e-book for World Book Day 2019

World book day 2019

Coventry Libraries and Information Service would like to invite 7-11 and 12-15 year olds to create their own e-book to celebrate World Book Day 2019. Participants will be tasked to create a 5 page story in their own storytelling style, involving their original characters visiting Coventry.

Appropriate entries will be uploaded in time for World Book Day on the 7 March 2019. Entries will be made available via the Borrow Box online catalogue so your friends and family can download for free!

This is a creative opportunity for young people aged between 7-15 years, in partnership with Bolinda, World Book Day and Coventry City of Culture 2021.

Entries will only be uploaded if the below criteria is met:

  • All entries must be entered by Friday 15 February 2019
  • Entries can be submitted to any library in Coventry
  • All entries must use the attached 5 page template, keeping inside the provided lines
  • Entrants can choose their own storytelling style. For example; a comic book grid style or traditional paragraphs with illustrations. It's up to you!
  • All entries must include Coventry as a location in their stories.
  • All entries will be reviewed before being uploaded, entries must be family friendly containing no bad language, no obscene images or criminal activity.

Intellectual property statement

Any intellectual property which you provide to Coventry Libraries & information service and Bolinda Digital for use remains yours, and you grant Bolinda Digital a non-exclusive licence to use such intellectual property only for the purposes of this Agreement. Bolinda Digital will not be responsible for the accuracy, quality, integrity, legality, reliability and appropriateness of the Intellectual Property you provide to us.
