Coombe Abbey Country Park offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks and bird watching all set against the stunning Coombe Abbey.
The site is steeped in history dating back to 1150 when the Abbey was founded by Cistercian monks. The Craven family lived at Coombe in the 18th century creating the lake and sight lines of the deer park. The site was opened to the public in 1966. The Abbey is now a hotel.
