An opportunity to view the ongoing excavation dig of remains of some Victorian cottages.
Some of the foundations for these can still be seen. Further brick walls and a possible medieval stone pit have been discovered and excavation work is ongoing to continue to investigate. Handle some of the finds and take the chance to ask questions about archaeology and the history of the site and area.
No booking required.
Due to the nature of the event there is uneven ground which, depending on weather conditions, may be muddy and slippery. Please ensure sensible footwear is worn. The edges of the excavation site must be avoided.
Situated on the B4101 from the city centre on the left hand side on Broomfield Place. It is just after the Butts/Coventry Rugby club car park. Access to the event in the garden is from the pathway running alongside the Broomfield Tavern. There is no access through the pub.
