A talk, followed by Q&A, by Muhanad Al Qaisy who is co-ordinator of the Olive Tree Campaign - Keep Hope Alive, run by Joint Advocacy Initiative, which is a partnership of East Jerusalem YMCA and YWCA of Palestine and works for peace with justice in Palestine. He lives, and was brought up in, a refugee camp in Bethlehem. He organises groups of volunteers to help the farmers plant olive trees and to harvest the olives, and by so doing give hope to the Palestinian people. The focus of this event will be to spread awareness of the plight of the Palestinian people and their non-violent methods of resisting the occupation.
