Our Council Plan sets out the Council’s vision and priorities for the city of Coventry. We regularly report on progress towards the Council Plan vision and priorities. This forms part of our performance management framework, which sets out how we plan and organise our resources to achieve the vision and priorities.
In October 2018, the Council invited a Local Government Association (LGA) Peer Challenge Team to provide challenge and share learning. As part of the review, the team of senior officers and councillors from local authorities from across the UK, supported by the LGA, spoke with external stakeholders, partners, Council officers and councillors.
The LGA is the national voice of local government, working with Councils to support, promote and improve local government. As a part of its work, it offers a Peer Challenge Review to every council every four or five years.
The latest performance report is the end of year report for 2017/18. This was presented at an all members seminar on 10 September 2018 and was formally considered by Scrutiny Co-ordination Committee on 10 October 2018 and Cabinet on 30 October 2018.
