Deputy Lord Mayor of Coventry
Cllr Roger Bailey has been named as the Deputy Lord Mayor of the City of Coventry.
Cllr Roger Bailey has represented Cheylesmore Ward since 2014 and has been a councillor for 15 years in total.
He grew up in Coventry and went to Woodlands School and later Henley College.
Cllr Bailey has served on the Planning Committee for 15 years and has served in many Shadow Cabinet roles and has also been a director of the Belgrade Theatre
His background is in IT and he has also worked in the tourism industry as a professional Blue Badge Tourist Guide for The Heart of England for many years.
He said: “I love my city and its amazing heritage, making it a unique place in this country.
“I am proud I have been given the opportunity to serve Coventry, and, with the Deputy Lady Mayoress, look forward to meeting some of the many people and groups that make up the Coventry community.”
