Bike it schools

The Bike It Officer has to choose several schools in which to run the Bike It project. This page details information regarding selection criteria.

What is the selection criteria?

Schools are chosen through selection criteria. If a school matches at least some of these, the school is in with a chance of being nominated as a Bike It School.

  • Enthusiastic Head Teacher and staff
  • Nominated school cycling champion in place
  • School Travel Plan (STP) in place or draft
  • Secure cycle storage in place or planned
  • Potential for increasing cycling
  • Bikeability cycle training available
There are currently discussions taking place in several schools throughout the city to make up the list of schools that Ian will concentrate his Bike It Project in for the academic year 2010/2011.
