  1. Report a pavement defect

We are responsible for the maintenance of the adopted highway (not private streets) and this includes pavements.

We deal with many different pavement issues such as:

  • Trip hazards
  • Potholes in tarmac paving
  • Broken / lose paving slabs
  • Overhanging vegetation
  • Lose or damaged drainage channels
  • Lose or damaged manhole covers

Pavements, in particular those made from paving slabs, can sometimes be more vulnerable to becoming defective. This is for a number of reasons including the volume of vehicles now parking partially on the pavement and delivery lorries, skip wagons and other large vehicles parking on/driving over the pavement. If you encounter any such damage please let us know where it so we can make arrangements for a repair and if necessary recharge any associated costs to the responsible party.
