What's on in libraries

Readers' groups

Readers' groups
  • Free to attend
  • Suitable for adults (16+)
  • Open to everyone

Anyone who meets to discuss books with other people is part of a reading group. Being a member can help you as a reader get more pleasure out of reading. You can share your love of reading with like-minded people but also take your reading to another level through other people's interpretations of a text and the stimulation of discussion.

More and more people are discovering that readers' groups are a great way to socialise, read books that they wouldn't normally have chosen and share their love of reading. If you ever wanted to talk to someone about the last great book you that read - then why not join one of Coventry's readers' groups? We also have a readers' pack for you to take a look at if you would like to set up your own readers' group. Library based readers' group are not always run by staff so you can use the library as your meeting place. We will promote your group in the list below and on our monthly events leaflets.
