One Body One Life

How do I join?

One body, one life

Contact the team directly on 024 7678 5627 or visit your local GP to be referred.

Or you can sign up using the form on the right hand side.

How much does it cost?

The courses are FREE.

Is it safe?

Yes, the OBOL programme employs four Community Lifestyle Coaches who are all trained to deliver the One Body One Life programme. All coaches are highly qualified exercise professionals and have GP Exercise referral level 3. We will monitor health improvements by measuring BMI, waist circumference, heart rate and lung function and blood pressure and behaviour change.

What will I do on the course?

Our main aim is to make the sessions fun and interactive. There will be 45 minutes of healthy eating games and discussions followed by 45 minutes of fun activities aimed at improving health and fitness.

What if I've never exercised before?

Don't worry if you are new to exercise, our qualified physical activity leader will make sure the sessions are safe, enjoyable and suitable for all levels.

What commitment is needed?

The One Body One Life programme runs for one and a half hours on one day a week for eight to ten weeks, we also ask that people complete a three month review.

Do I have to complete the health check?

We do ask that all new starters complete the health checks as we have found that they provide fantastic motivation and give us an opportunity to check the success of the programme. At the very least we would ask that you complete our lifestyle questionnaire.

The body MOT we offer usually costs £60 in your local gym but on the One Body One Life course you will be offered it for free. We will monitor health improvements by measuring BMI, waist circumference, heart rate and lung function and blood pressure and behaviour change. We will make sure that measurements are kept private.

Can I attend the family programme with more than one child?

As long as one member of the family qualifies for the programme, we're more than happy for you to bring more than one child.
