Coventry Infant Feeding team consists of seven trained Breastfeeding Peer Support Workers and a Peer Support Co-ordinator.
The team is available to answer questions about breastfeeding, and offer families support and information to help you decide how to feed your baby.
The Peer Supporters run friendly breastfeeding groups across the city and are also available to visit new families at home on a one-to-one basis.
Team members can offer information on a variety of topics, including skin to skin, response feeding, hand expressing, feeding positions that are comfortable for you and baby, feeding cues and weaning.
There are also a number of online resources that are available for you to use.
For support, or more information on any of the above, use the Infant Feeding Line, which you can call or text for support (9.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday and Saturdays 9.00am - 1.00pm) on 07904 984 620 - there is an out of hours answerphone service.
Breastfeeding Peer Support Workers support mothers and families of all ages.
