Alex tries to uncover the truth about his Grandad's history in order to help him overcome his Alzheimer's disease and keep him from having to go into a home. Grandad is getting worse. I try to cover up for him. But last night, he could have killed us all...
Alex's grandfather keeps forgetting things. Alex is desperate to help him remember. But he is haunted by his own memories of war. As he digs into his grandfather's past, he stumbles across secrets that both of them are afraid to face.
Uncovering the truth could save Grandad... but it might also tear Alex apart.
Comments
Oh, what a lovely story, and not just for children 7 -11. Adults could learn much from this tale which is so, so plausible.
