Getting to St. Mary's Guildhall

Conveniently located in the historic heart of Coventry, St. Mary's Guildhall is easily accessed from surrounding transport networks

On foot

St. Mary's Guildhall is located directly behind Coventry Council House, and on the south side of the cathedral ruins. Directional finger posts can be found at the railway station and throughout the city centre. Follow finger post directions towards Coventry Cathedral or the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, and you will find St. Mary's Guildhall signposted near these locations.

By bicycle

Coventry is a safe, cycle-friendly city. A map of cycle lanes and routes in the city is available to download. We can arrange for secure on-site cycle parking facilities, for visitors and customers arriving by this method.

By car or coach

From surrounding main roads and motorways, follow signs for Coventry city centre and join the Coventry ring road. Leave the Coventry ring road at one of the following junctions:

Junction 3, then via Gosford Street to Jordan Well, turning right into Bayley Lane (recommended route for coaches)

Junction 5, then via New Union Street to Little Park Street, then Earl Street, turning left into Bayley Lane

Junction 6, then via Warwick Rd to New Union Street, then Little Park St to Earl Street, turning left into Bayley Lane

Coaches are requested to set down passengers at the bottom of Bayley Lane, opposite the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, as it is difficult for large vehicles to manoeuvre beyond this point

Parking is available at a large number of public car parks, situated within easy walking distance of the Guildhall.

By bus

St. Mary's Guildhall is located just a 5 minute walk from the main bus station at Pool Meadow, and from bus stops in Broadgate and Trinity Street. An efficient Park & Ride service operates in the city, with hubs in the north and south of the city. Find out more details on all bus services

By train

Coventry mainline railway station is situated approximately three quarters of a mile from St. Mary's Guildhall. You will find clearly identified walking routes from the station to the city centre, together with regular buses and taxis

By air

Birmingham International Airport is situated approximately 11.5 miles from Coventry, with regular train, bus and taxi services available to connect with Coventry city centre. Coventry Airport is situated approximately 4.5 miles from the city centre, on the south eastern side of the city.
