City Centre, Coventry
Vibrant, multi cultural and accessible
A thriving multi-cultural city centre with a wide range of shops, nightlife and leisure activities to suit all ages. The city has a population of 306,000 with a student population of around 35,000. Ongoing investment in the city centre has seen major changes and makes the area a stimulating, exciting and convenient place to live. New developments include the redevelopment of the Belgrade Theatre and Belgrade Plaza and Europe 's first city centre IKEA store.
The proposed development if the city centre is set to create 100, 000 square metres of new retail and leisure space and re establish Coventry as a dynamic, vibrant and world class city.
Public transport links are readily available to all areas of the city and wider region. Coventry is close to 7 motorways and various trunk roads. The railway station is within 10 minutes walk offering quick and regular services to both London and Birmingham.
If you are looking to be right in the middle of the day and night time activities, Coventry city centre living may be the place for you.

Earlsdon
Hip and trendy
This suburb of the city, only 10 minutes walk from the city centre, is popular with young professionals and Warwick University students. The area was famous for watch making in the mid 1800s and small reminders of its past are still present. Today it has a good range of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and some small specialist shops. It's within walking distance of the city's War Memorial park an ideal spot for a bike ride or afternoon stroll. A handy Park and Ride is available from the park to the city centre.
Earlsdon also has its own library, theatre, rugby, golf and tennis clubs.
The short walk into the city centre and the railway station and regular bus service makes it a very convenient place to live.
Housing is varied in this area ranging from 2 bedroom terraced from £120,000 to 5 bedroom Victorian semi-detached and detached homes up to £600,000.
Coundon
Great for families
The Coundon area in the north west of the city is predominately residential and is particularly popular with families, because of the good local schools. The secondary school Coundon Court is one of the best in the city. The area has good public transport links and easy access to the A45. Coundon Wedge is an area of open rural land between Coundon and Allesley Village , which is particularly popular for walking and horse riding.
Houses in this area are mainly post war 3 bedroom terrace family homes, offering good value for money. Prices range from £120,000 to £250,000
Allesley Village
Green and leafy village in a city
A rural village feel within the city, this suburb is very popular due to its countryside location but with easy access to the city centre. It still retains many aspects of village life with village shops, pub, primary school and riding school. Most of the village is situated within a conservation area. The A45 is adjacent to the village, providing a quick and easy link to Birmingham and Solihull and southbound to Rugby and London.
Housing consists of cottages, period properties and some post war family accommodation. The village is very sought after. Prices range from £120,000 to £500,000.
Finham and Styvechale
Aspirational family area
Finham is a mainly residential suburb in the south of the city, sharing its border with Styvechale and the village of Baginton. Styvechale borders the city's War Memorial Park and this is where you will find some of the city's more exclusive housing.
A popular area with families as the local state secondary school, Finham Park , has a very good reputation. There is also a selection of very good primary schools.

Cannon Park and Westwood Heath
Prosperous and well connected
The suburbs of Cannon Park and Westwood Heath in the South West of the city are the most prosperous in the area. Westwood Heath is close to the University of Warwick campus and an abundance of woodland and green space. Kenilworth and Burton Green are just a few miles away. There is a lot of new housing in the area, most of which are four and five bedroom executive homes. The area around the university is also home to some world class business parks. The excellent shopping centre at nearby Cannon Park , along with the reputable Cannon Park primary school, makes this a very attractive and popular place to live.
Wyken, Walsgrave and Stoke
Affordable, traditional and popular
The eastern side of the city offers a selection of more affordable housing in good neighbourhoods and quality homes. There is a selection of traditional 1930s style housing alongside some new build estates.
Some very good state schools can be found in the area including Caludon Castle Secondary school , which achieved an Outstanding Ofsted report.
Situated on the east side of the city, means there is access to the motorways - M6, M69 and M45 along with the major trunk roads, A46 and A444 making commuting into Leicester, Birmingham, Rugby and surrounding areas very easy.
Foleshill and Longford
Multi cultural and diverse
Foleshill and Longford areas, located in the north of the city form part of the city's great industrial heritage. Thanks to their canal side location, many textile and silk manufacturers were established in the area.
Today the area is home to a very diverse population. In Foleshill you can find many ethnic food stores, clothing and other goods along with various places of worship. The Longford area is mainly residential and has some lovely parks and green spaces. The Ricoh Arena and its shopping and sports facilities are also located in Longford. The Coventry Canal and Oxford Canal meet in Longford at Hawkesbury Junction, a popular conservation area with nice walks and great pubs on the towpath.
