Coventry Parent Partnership Service
What should I do if I think my child has special educational needs?
If your child is attending an early years setting or school you can approach them and ask to speak to the class teacher or the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). They will be able to listen to your concerns and explain to you how the school or setting is working with your child.
Information about how the school/setting supports pupils with special educational needs will also be available in their SEN Policy. All schools and early years settings have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) who takes day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the schools SEN policy and co-ordination of the provision made for individual children with SEN.
