Place Survey 2008 - 2009

The Place Survey is a new consultation that all local authorities are required to carry out on a two yearly basis. Devised by central government it replaces the Best Value Performance Indicator Survey and has been developed to find out how residents feel about their local area, their satisfaction with local services and their quality of life.

We and our partners - including health, police, fire and rescue service - will use information from the survey to review and develop services. In this way we will be listening to the views of local people and using them to directly influence local decision-making and services.

The full Place Survey results can be seen in the presentation. The contents pages are hyperlinked so you can go straight to your area of interest you can also view a copy of the main findings.
