Multi-agency audits are a key strand of our quality assurance framework. Each year the Board agrees a programme of audit, linked to our priorities, that gives us a clearer understanding of how well we are safeguarding children in Coventry. They provide a unique opportunity to look at the way we support children and families through the eyes of many different professionals. Through audit we are able to step aside from day to day activities and reflect on what we achieve in our work together to protect children.
Summaries of the main findings from all our multi-agency audits:
Full copies of all our audit reports are available on request by contacting the Safeguarding Children Board on the details below.
The findings from our audits are used by the Board to shape policy and practice. Following an audit each agency will commit to a range of actions to implement the findings. The Board has an Effectiveness and Quality Subgroup that is responsible for requiring agencies to provide assurance to the board about the impact of their implementation on children’s lives in Coventry.
