Innovative technologies
Introduction
The innovative technologies sector plays a major role in the economy of the wider Coventry area and will continue to do so. Together they represent a key platform for growth and jobs.
The sector is underpinned by the City's high speed broadband network which is now being further enhanced and expanded across the sub region with the support of Government funds provided by the BDUK initiative.
Support for the sector
The City Council's Business Sector Growth Team promotes, encourages and facilitates investment in the sector through:
- assistance with business planning
- advice on marketing
- assistance and advice on people management
- help with accessing finance and grants
- information on available premises
- networks for new and growing businesses
There are a number of initiatives under way:
