Embedded skills and a determination to exploit new technologies underpin our drive to gain commercial advantage for local businesses and investors.
The work of Business Sector Growth Team
We deliver the supply side of Jobs Strategy....creating local jobs for local people. The team works in conjunction with partners including the LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) the Universities and the Chamber of Commerce to transform and grow the economy of Coventry through innovation and investment in key business technology sectors. In addition the team helps identify suitable posts for vulnerable people and it supports overseas trade.
Innovation and Growth
The team attracts and fixes external (private and public sector) funds to support a programme of high profile projects that establish infrastructure and raise aspirations. Through collaborations businesses are helped to grow by entering and developing new markets. The work focuses on:
- Low Carbon vehicles
- Digital, ICT and creatives
- Environmental
