We believe every child deserves the best possible start in life and should be supported throughout their early years so they can fulfil their potential.

The experiences children have in their early years can have a direct impact on how their future lives work out. Every child should be brought up in a secure, safe and happy childhood that also provides a base for them to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.

Parents who choose to use early years services need to know their children are safe and are getting a good education and care to help them develop confidence and build a firm foundation for their future.

Our aims

The aim of the Coventry Early Years and Childcare Service is to help young children achieve the Every Child Matters outcomes of:

  • staying safe
  • being healthy
  • enjoying and achieving
  • making a positive contribution
  • achieving economic well-being
  • supporting communities and families in Coventry (an additional 6th local outcome has been identified for support by Coventry Early Years and Childcare service)
