Animal welfare service

Educational Talks

Animal Welfare officers regularly perform their 'Scoop the poop' Road show to primary schools throughout the city. The road show is aimed at educating youngsters about responsible pet ownership whilst adding an element of fun, this includes guest appearances from Animal welfare officers own pets and a star appearance from 'Scoop the dancing dog' (an officer in a cuddly dog suit!) The talk includes a PowerPoint presentation with props, audience participation and is finished off with the 'scoop the poop' rap song.

Officers also visit secondary schools and offer a presentation that is more suited to an older audience. This includes a PowerPoint presentation, with props and equipment.

Residents Meetings

Officers can attend residents meetings and events to promote responsible pet ownership and give advice.
