This section is all about the library catalogue - how to search the catalogue for information on books, CDs DVDs, and talking books in all Coventry libraries, check availability and request an item or to renew your library loans.

Search the catalogue

You can search to see if the library service has what you want. This will allow you to search through the wide range of items that are available from your local library. You can do this by accessing the Online Library Catalogue.

Check availability

Check availability to see if the book, CD, DVD, talking book is available for you to collect. When you find what you are looking for, please contact your local library.

Or you can request the item online, using the online catalogue.

Reserve an item

Online reservations

There is a charge for this service you will have to pay a reservation fee on collecting the reserved item from your chosen library. You can do this via the Online Library Catalogue my account. 

Renew library loans

To renew your library loans online please visit the My account section of the online catalogue or see the loan renewals page for details of how to renew items by phone or in person.

You can also use the online catalogue to find out what you have borrowed and if you still have books on loan, to renew your loans or to reserve books or other items. For security reasons if you want to do this you will need your borrower number (find this under the barcode on your library card) and your PIN number. If you do not have a PIN number staff at your local library will provide you with one in person or you can ring or e-mail them for a reminder. You can change your PIN number if you wish.

Your PIN number is for your security. Please do not tell it to anyone else, as they will be able to get access to your library details.
